School Lunch Program & Snacks

Morning Snacks
Please pack your child a healthy, easy to eat snack for the 10:00 am recess. Most classes will eat their snack during recess, Kindergarten teachers usually choose a snack time right before or afterward recess. Be sure to pack your child's snack in a separate container or bag from their lunchbox (otherwise children tend to eat all of their lunch and snack at the same time!).

District School Lunch Program
The San Carlos School District has contracted Choice Lunch to make our school lunches. Parents can set up an account and begin ordering lunches through www.LunchIsServed.com. Read more on the SCSD school lunch program website.

Free and Reduced Lunch Program

The San Carlos School District (SCSD) participates in the National School Lunch Program. At all SCSD schools, all students are offered nutritious meals every school day. You may qualify for these meals for free or at a reduced rate ($0.40 per lunch).  The meal programs we participate in are supported by federal and state reimbursements that are based on household income and eligibility. We are able to serve free and reduced price meals because households continue to submit meal applications. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. You or your children do not have to be U.S. citizens to qualify for free meals.

If you are interested in applying for free or reduced price meals, you may download the application below. Please contact Lisa Ceragioli if you need instructions on how to pre-load your Lunch Is Served account with funds if you qualify for free or reduced price meals.

If you qualified for lunches last year and would like to continue free or reduced price meals this year, you must re-apply and place orders for your child.  The district will NOT be placing orders for any children.

Please complete the lunch application and submit it to:

San Carlos School District
ATTN: Lisa Ceragioli
1200 Industrial Road, Unit 9
San Carlos CA  94070

Original, signed application is required for qualification; faxed or emailed applications will not be accepted.

If there are more household members than the number of lines on the application, attach a second application.  You will be notified by mail regarding eligibility.
